Welcome to the Virtual Consumer Research Group (VCRG) at the University of Texas at Austin, Department of Advertising. The Virtual Consumer Research Group is an academic, not-for-profit research group focused on understanding what consumers do, think and feel. All of our studies are academic research conducted by faculty and students in the Department of Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin.

By participating in our studies a few times a year, you will help contribute to the education training of our students and the building of knowledge on consumers in an online environment. We need people like you to be part of our panel and to give us your opinions.

We'd like to invite you to join our VCRG Online Consumer Panel. As a registered member of our panel, you will receive the following benefits: You will be eligible for our monthly drawing for a $200 gift certificate. Drawings are held on the last day of every month. The winner of each month will be notified immediately and receive the certificate within approximately 4 weeks from the drawing date. For each study that you choose to participate, you will be eligible for additional drawing in the range of $150~200 prizes for that study (actual size of prize depends on the study).

Contract Testing Inc

Contract Testing Inc. specializes in sensory evaluations where you the consumer are asked to give opinions about the taste, texture, smell, appearance, etc. of various products. Manufacturers often request that a consumer or sensory test be conducted when they wish to gather information about a new product that they are planning, make changes to an existing product or perhaps substantiate an advertising claim. Some of the products we might test include cookies, soup, frozen and microwavable dinners, soft drinks, soap, detergent, shampoo, mouthwash, and other personal care, food, or household items. WE NEED YOU, the consumer, to help us complete tests and we are willing to pay for your assistance. Everyone is welcome to sign-up (some restrictions apply). You will never be asked to purchase anything. We simply pay you for your participation as an important part of consumer testing.
